Maggie vs. Reality *age 9*
“It’s my reality and I’ll do with it what I want to do with it, Michael Jacob-Francis. They do exist, you’ll see.”
Maggie grinned and looked over to her brother. He had had grown impatient as they lay flat on their stomachs, covered in camouflage in their backyard. Faeries were real. She just knew it. Now why they would want to hang out in her backyard, of all places, in Atlantic City, she couldn’t quite work out – but she had to start somewhere!
Covered with twigs and leaves, they waited there until they were both called in for lunch.
They never did see any faeries, but they did overhear their neighbors going at it with lovey-dovey noises, which caused them no end of amusement.
( Maggie vs. Common sense and gut instinct *age 21 )
